~About Me
I grew up on a small farm in north Idaho, where I spent the majority of my free time riding my Appaloosa horse across the Palouse hills. It's because of the experiences I had during my formative years that I grew to love horses, nature, and writing. I came to realize the power of words — particularly through poetry — at a very young age. I have been writing from the time I first learned to pen my name, trying to figure out my world and how I fit in.
Throughout the years, horses have been a powerful influence in my life. From my first small pony named Taffy, to Snowflake who guided me through my teenage years, to Fancy, my Quarter Horse mare who is now my kindred spirit—all have given me a soft place to land. It's only natural that I would write about them.
